Magnolia Gardens Restaurant In Humble, Tx
Magnolia Gardens is a restaurant in Humble, Texas located at 601 First Street. My wife has visited this Humble restaurant on several occasions but I have just accompanied her there once. I order a grilled chicken breast sandwich and one of their specialty teas and enjoyed both immensely. Below you will find a photo gallery and reviews of the Magnolia Gardens restaurant and tea room written by my wife and her mother.

Reviews By My Wife And Mother-In-Law
For years my mom had been telling me about how much she enjoyed going to a tea room. Since we lived so far apart we didn’t go together until my mom came to visit me in Texas. We found the Magnolia Garden Restaurant and Tea Room in Humble TX and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Its quaint atmosphere includes cozy tables surrounded by flowers and bible verses. For lunch, we had a tasty Tortilla soup with a tostada. I loved the wide selection of teas, health drinks, smoothies, iced coffees, almost so many that it is hard to decide which one to have. It definitely makes you want to go back. Luckily, if you can’t make a decision, they have a really neat Gift Shop that gives you the opportunity to take home some of the teas that you wanted to try. In addition, there are fabulous gift baskets put together for both males and females. I am a big fan of gift baskets as gifts. I usually can’t find a gift basket that has the personality that I strive for when I am giving a gift. Their gift baskets are so unique that you can almost see the person that you are giving the gift to. There is really very little I would feel I needed to add to them.

While staying in the Houston area, I had the delightful experience of visiting the Magnolia Garden Restaurant and Tea Room in Humble, TX. My daughter & I spent the afternoon enjoying each others company and cooling off with a tall glass of iced tea. The food was absolutely delicious. The charming decor of teacups and flowers made it easy for us to set aside our cares and worries. I had been feeling homesick that day and when I glanced around the room, I discovered that my favorite scripture verse was decorating the wall above me. By the time we left, we both felt refreshed and renewed. I am looking forward to visiting the Magnolia Garden and Tea Room again with my daughter on my next trip to Texas.

The Potatoe Patch Restaurant

My Favorite Restaurant in Humble
To this date, The Potatoe Patch Restaurant is not only my favorite restaurant in Humble, it is my favorite restaurant in all of Texas. If you are a local and haven’t spent an evening dinning at the Potatoe Patch, you need to do it soon. But, don’t forget to bring your appetite, as it is easy to fill up on the rolls, muffins, fried green tomatoes and fried okra. The rolls muffins are just plain excellent as they come hot from the oven and get tossed out to the diners. I am a big eater, and I have to admit that I was already stuffed before my dinner came. I had grilled shrimp and snow crab legs. The shrimp were scrumptious, and the crab was prepared well. Despite the excellent food, I would say the best part of my visit was chatting with the owner, as he had come in and sat down in front of the T.V. His table ended up being right across from us, and we discussed some of the history behind his restaurant along with NFL playoffs. Below you can find a slide show of the Restaurant, and my wife’s review of the establishment.

My Wife’s Review
When I was growing up in the Northwest, Fried Green Tomatoes was one of my favorite movies. So, ever since I moved to Texas, I have wanted to try the fried green tomatoes at the Potato Patch in Humble Tx. When my husband took me there the other day, I was very excited to go. It has a very comfortable, country atmosphere. It made it really fun, because they had someone walking around with hot rolls and muffins (which tasted wonderful) where they called out if anyone wanted them, and if you were across the room from the waiter, they would actually throw the rolls or muffins at you!! It reminded me of going to baseball games with the family. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the Potato Patch. He was a really pleasant to talk to. For our meal, we had rib eye and crab. Both were outstanding, despite the fact that we ate so many rolls and muffins. My husband thought the rolls were by far the best that he had ever eaten, so we bought some to take home to share with our nephew. The next time I go to the Potato Patch, I plan to eat a smaller meal to leave more room for those yummy rolls and muffins.
