If you scroll to the bottom you can find the time and location. I will be speaking on “How to protect yourself from over paying for a home in a declining market” along with “Is it really the time to buy a new home.” At the Houston home buyer’s seminar I will also be giving a tutorial on different web tools that exist to help with one’s home search. I believe my talk will take part at the end of the seminar.

Wells Fargo has been looking as though they are the strongest large commercial bank in the U.S. having posted positive earnings numbers for the first quarter of the year. We will have Jill Stoneburner at the Houston home buyers seminar to discuss loan products and what requirements one must meet to obtain a home loan in this tight credit market. I think most people will be truly surprised at in accuracies portrayed in the National news on this subject.

We will here from another agent in the ERA office I work out of named Tom Johnson. He has over 20 years of experience in home sales in Houston and his talk will discuss the general home buying process. From what I understand speaking to Tom last week he has invited a home inspector to discuss what occurs during a home inspection and why it makes sense to do a home inspection before you purchase a home.

During our discussion we came to a consensus that the large fall off in sales even in the most stable parts of the Houston housing market were well founded when you look at the terrifyingly negative news on the national housing market. We also noted that most people in the industry that speak out to the public try to paint a picture where Houston completely escapes the troubles seen in many other markets. Since the reality for the Houston area falls in between these two extremes we decided to put together a monthly home buyer seminar. This month’s seminar will be held this Saturday at 9am-11am in the galleria. Below is my little plug for the seminar. I would love to see people who follow this blog to attend.

Humble Entertainment


Yesterday my wife, my nephew and I spent the better part of the day at the Humble Carnival. You will frequently see the Carnival, off of the FM 1960 in one of the larger parking lots, during the Fall and Winter months. As late fall and early winter have great weather for enjoying rides. The Carnival we attended was set up in the Sam’s Club parking lot near the Outback steak house off of FM 1960 West.

My Nephew’s Review Of The Carnival

When I first went to the Humble carnival, I saw it had a cool pass that for twenty dollars you could ride any ride you wanted to, as many times as you wanted to for an entire day. I bought that and started my first ride, a really tall one that drops you straight down It was cool, after that I went on a little ride that was fun. Then I rode on the Extreme it spun back and forth really high it was awesome. Then we left to eat dinner. When I came back the carnival was aglow with hundreds of lights. I rode on a bunch of rides and Ended my trip with The Extreme the carnival was a fun addition to my weekend.

Movie Tavern Review

The Humble Movie Tavern is a great place to spend an evening with the family. In the past, I have not been a fan of attending the movies, primarily because I do not like to stick to the floor and find the seats uncomfortable. Not to mention being limited on what food I can buy and then being over charged for it. But, at the Movie Tavern, I found myself pleasantly surprised as the place was well kept (My feet didn’t stick to the floor) and they had a full menu with real food. Don’t worry junk food junkies you can still get your candy, popcorn and super-sized sodas. In addition to being able to eat dinner, you have the opportunity to order a plethora of drinks.

Further review of the Movie Tavern

Below you can find reviews by the members of my household. Those members being my favorite person in the whole world my wife, Golda, and my 14-year-old nephew, Aaron. If you have not attended the movies at the Movie Tavern or you have in the past not enjoyed the movies, I strongly suggest that you head out and spend the evening there. You can find the Movie Tavern located at 9630 FM 1960 Bypass West. It is just about two or three blocks west of the Deerbrook mall from way of U.S. 59. Enjoy! I have always loved going to the movie theatre, but now I have back problems so attending the typical movie theatre can bring more pain than pleasure. My husband took me to the Movie Tavern in Humble, and I was pleasantly surprised to find cushy chairs and some even had tables. To add to my enjoyment, they have a full menu that includes adult beverages and even milkshakes for the kids. I was able to order food from my seat, so I didn’t miss any of the movie. The attendants pay attention and were very friendly. On top of all that, it is actually cheaper than going to a regular theatre!

The movie Tavern was fun. We were able to watch movies while drinking cool
milkshakes. Also it was like a nice restaurant and would serve you food any time you wanted. It also had nice chairs. They were superbly comfortable, and did I mention they were soft? Also, the service was fast and very respectful. The milkshake was huge, and I wasted no time in drinking it and ordering a second one. It also has the newest videos… I really liked the movie tavern. You should check it out!
